David Hirsch

DAVID HIRSCH

Managing Partner

As a Board Member, David oversees MDNI GROUP’s strategy, direction, and operational management. He is a licensed general contractor in California and three other states. David began his career in the media and advertising industries, focusing on remodeling and construction. He co-founded 1800Remodel.com, a national home improvement brand and platform that connects homeowners with local contractors. Over the past decade, David has personally recruited and trained more than 500 employees, building deep expertise in general construction, remodeling, and development, and has overseen the completion of projects totaling over $500 million.

Managing Partner

After enrolling in the School of Political Science and Economics at Meiji University, he developed an interest in finance and studied abroad in New York on his own during his university years, gaining first-hand experience in the heart of the financial world. He began his career in the financial industry at Nomura Securities, where he served in the Wealth Management division, providing asset advisory services to ultra-high-net-worth clients. With strong encouragement from many clients, he became independent in 2013.

After moving to the U.S., he fully entered the real estate development sector, dedicating himself to bridging opportunities between American projects and Japanese investors. Regarding this investment, he evaluates and analyzes its viability from the perspective of a Board Member and finance professional.

Partner

Joseph has been involved in real estate and construction since his teens, becoming a contractor, underwriter and real estate broker. He has extensive experience in operating a wide variety of large scale construction, renovation and development initiatives from start to completion, bringing his personal brand of obsessive attention to detail to every project. In addition to his intimate involvement with all planned and ongoing construction projects, Joseph is the primary systems architect behind most of the unique processes utilized daily by the MIDOS team, where his distinctive foresight, calculated thoroughness and accuracy allows complex projects to progress smoothly.

Head of Construction

Steve has 20+ years of Operations and Management experience, where he has directly managed an extensive variety of construction projects. Many of our clients will attest that Steve is a team player and understands the importance of getting results. Steve’s hands-on involvement includes overseeing virtually every facet of ongoing construction, as varied as onboarding and negotiations, managing project timelines, schedules, compliance with building and safety code, permitting, training, and virtually anything else related to day to day construction management. Steve also has an MBA from Loyola Marymount University.
DANIEL MILLER

DANIEL MILLER

Acquisition Director for Hotel

Daniel joined MDNI with over 15 years of experience in investment and real estate. He launched a value-add real estate fund focused on multifamily acquisitions and became a pioneer in creating an integrated structure that brought together all key providers, including architects and general contractors. He later founded a hospitality business, growing its revenue from just $4,000 to several million dollars. After leaving MDNI, Daniel served as Head of Growth at Selina Hotels, where he led over $400 million in negotiations for joint ventures with corporations, local partners, and property owners. During his tenure, Selina expanded from 21 to 103 locations. Today, Daniel partners with high-growth real estate developers and hospitality operators, investing in capital and strategy for landmark projects around the world.

Acquisition Director for Residential

Michael Clinton is a seasoned executive in real estate and structured finance, with over 15 years of experience spanning affordable housing, hospitality, and institutional capital markets. As the founder and CEO of several companies, he has built a diversified asset portfolio exceeding $20 million and structured more than $1.3 billion in transactions for high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and private equity sponsors. A former investment banker turned hotel operator and developer, Michael is known for unlocking value through complex acquisitions, strategic capital structuring, and business transformation. He is also a frequent contributor to media outlets and a sought-after speaker at industry events. In addition, he serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations and holds degrees from Duke University and Vanderbilt University.

Acquisition Manager

A California-based Realtor specializing in real estate sales and property management, with total career sales exceeding $2 billion. In addition to managing a wide range of investment and rental properties, he is a Southern California specialist with over 20 years of experience living and working in the Los Angeles area. Beyond real estate, he is also an accomplished professional jazz guitarist, having performed at venues such as Dodger Stadium and Disney California. As a certified shamisen performer, he is deeply committed to preserving and promoting Japanese cultural traditions.

Acquisitions Associate

Michael has over four years of experience in acquisitions. With a background in marketing, he transitioned into real estate, where he began by working with investors on house-flipping projects. He later partnered with brokers to market single-family homes, multi-family apartments, and commercial properties. His career progressed further when he joined MIDOS, where he expanded his expertise in acquiring properties for both ground-up developments and value-add opportunities.

KEVIN NINOMIYA

Head of legal & Fundraising

As Head of Legal and Capital Raising at MDNI Group, Kevin provides investors with access to high-quality real estate development opportunities across Southern California. He is a U.S. attorney, a bilingual (Japanese–English) ecosystem and real estate developer, and a venture builder. Before entering the legal field, Kevin worked as a development engineer in commercial real estate and construction infrastructure. He later led new business initiatives in PropTech and digital transformation (DX) at global corporations, driving innovation through collaboration with startups and small to mid-sized enterprises. In 2023, he founded his own law firm, Global Gateway Law, and ShibuLA Ventures, an ecosystem development firm. Through these entities, he supports municipalities and organizations in building business ecosystems, incubating startups, and enabling corporate growth and market expansion.

Sabbir is a commercial real estate analyst with over six years of experience in underwriting and asset valuation, specializing in multifamily and development projects. In the past three years, I have underwritten more than 1,000 properties nationwide, including 500+ in the Los Angeles market ranging from entitled and RTI projects to affordable housing developments. By leveraging advanced underwriting models and industry-leading tools such as CoStar, Zillow, and Apartments.com, I deliver precise valuations, clear recommendations, and actionable insights that help investors achieve their goals with confidence.

Jerry Fink

JERRY FINK

Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Bascom Group

Jerry Fink is one of the Managing Directors of Bascom Group, a private equity firm specializing in multifamily and commercial real estate. Since 1996, Fink and Bascom Group have completed over $19.1 billion in multifamily transactions, including the acquisition of 339 multifamily communities totaling 87,844 units. Fink oversees real estate acquisitions, financing, and dispositions. Prior to founding Bascom, from 1991 to 1995, he served as Senior Acquisitions and Sales Manager at Pacific Mutual Life Insurance Company, where he was responsible for market analysis, property selection and negotiation, as well as acquisition and disposition of real estate investments. Fink holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration with a focus on Real Estate and Finance from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), and holds professional designations including California Real Estate Broker, Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Certified Property Manager (CPM), Certified M&A Advisor (CM&AA), and Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP).
